Our strategy is to focus on a key market where we have unusually strong access to deal opportunities and management resources; partner with our key constituencies to consummate transactions and establish a foundation for growth; and then bring the resources to bear to execute against key initiatives.

Focusing

We invest primarily in middle market growth companies with a particular focus on companies in the Southeast. Our investor base includes a significant number of prominent business executives from our target market, and they stand ready to bring their expertise to bear on business opportunities and challenges. We target companies that are emerging leaders in industries with strong underlying drivers of growth.

Partnering

We believe that long term investment success is founded on fair, honest and mutually beneficial relationships with our key constituencies:

• If you are a deal intermediary, we promise either a quick “no” or a “yes” backed by a significant commitment of resources. Our partners have a long history of efficient, professional deal execution. Since deal flow is the life blood of a successful private equity firm, we will treat you as one of the most important cornerstones for our success.
• If you are a founding entrepreneur or manager, we promise to spend the time to understand your business and your objectives – we pride ourselves in being good listeners. We will offer you fair value and a substantial ongoing opportunity to generate wealth. Post-closing, we will establish clear, open communication. Where we can add value, we will bring the full force of our considerable connections for sourcing capital, management talent and strategic or operational advice to build your business. If we can’t add value, we will stay out of your way - we have a keen sense of the opportunity cost of your time. We aim to be your partner, not your manager.
